N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Bismarck National Weather Service is continuing to update the state on the snow that has continued to fall today.
According to the NWS, snow has continued over central North Dakota to the South of Highway 2. Total snowfall is expected to reach between 1 to 4 inches throughout the afternoon from Lake Sakakawea and into southern James River Valley. The freezing drizzle will also continue throughout the day.
Jamestown Police are reporting several traffic accidents due to the conditions. Four to five accidents have reportedly occurred between 7:00 and 9:00 AM this morning. No injuries have been reported. The drizzle is expected to turn into snow later Tuesday afternoon.
The North Dakota Department of Transportation is reminding travelers to drive safe and slow down due to the slick conditions. Snow plows are also out in full force today.
