FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Valley City Hi-liner girls team made their way to West Fargo looking to avenge their four losses from a season ago. In the first game between the two sides it was the Packers who took the victory 71-63 thanks in part to a record night from Cassidy Nelson.

The Packers were able to stay ahead of Valley with strong post play from Nelson who tied the West Fargo school record for point in a game with 32. While the Packers enjoyed 12 point lead with just over a minute to play, the Hi-Liners quickly cut West Fargo advantage to just six with 49 seconds left on the clock in part to outstanding shooting from Brenna Dieterle who finished with 18 points.
In the final 13 seconds of the game, West Fargo’s Kennedi Sands would hit two free throws giving the Packers their final 8 point advantage.
Nelson not only finished with a game, and school, high 32 points but she pulled down 13 rebounds in the game for a double-double.
