N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – OtterTail Power Company and Northern Plains Electric Cooperative have challenged each other to a Salvation Army Bell Ring-off set for this Friday, December 19th.
In order to help benefit the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign, both co-ops will be ringing bells at the Wal-Mart Supercenter from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Each utility group will dress up in festive attire and park a bucket truck near the entrance.
Lt. Mitch Brecto of the Jamestown Salvation Army stated that they’ve raised about $52,000 of their $156,000 goal this year.
“It’s always difficult to get people to ring the bell, especially at the outdoor locations like Wal-Mart. We appreciate the linemen from Northern Plains and OtterTail, volunteering to fill these slots.” he stated.
