– The Jamestown College men’s basketball team won two games this past weekend, defeating Doane College and Briercrest College in a pair of home games.
The Jimmies (3-3) knocked off Doane in overtime on Friday night, 80-78. They then poured in 106 points Saturday afternoon in a 106-34 victory over Briercrest. Jamestown’s men are on the road Tuesday at Northern State University in Aberdeen, S.D.
Elsewhere this weekend, the Jamestown College women’s basketball team lost its first game of the season Saturday during a two-game road trip. After beating Dakota Wesleyan 96-52 on Friday night, the Jimmies suffered an 81-74 overtime loss at Mount Marty College. Jamestown is now 7-1 on the season.
The Jimmie women are at home Tuesday night with a 7 p.m. game against St. Cloud State at the Jamestown Civic Center. The game is counted as an exhibition game for Jamestown.
