D. Beaver, 85, of Oakes, ND, entered his heavenly home, Sunday, November 16, 2014.
Clifford Delair, eldest son of Harold E. and Agnes (Cink) Beaver was born August 4, 1929 at their farm home near Stirum, ND. Clifford grew up and attended school at Stirum. He served his country in the U.S. Army for two years being stationed in Korea. After his return, he was united in marriage to Delores Turner on March 26, 1954. They were blessed with four children, Cheryl, Diane, Dale and Bill. They moved to a farm near Forman, ND, where they lived and raised their family. Clifford was a member of the Cogswell United Methodist Church for 61 years, serving on the church board for several years. He was also a member of the Bowen Township board and the elevator board.
He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Delores; children, Cheryl Suydam-Porthan, Diane (Wayne) Frenzel, Dale (Colleen) Beaver and Bill (Janelle) Beaver; twelve grandchildren, Amy (Erik) Andrews, Jason Suydam, Cherie Frenzel, Angela (Dustin) Johnson, Jon Frenzel, Mark Frenzel and Suzy Frenzel; Keith Beaver, Kristi Beaver and Tyler Beaver, Tiffany Beaver, Torie Beaver; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Richard (Virginia) Beaver; sister-in-law, Janice Beaver; and aunts, Doris Beaver Smith, Hulda Cink and Clarise Cink. Clifford was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, two sisters, Vivian and Janice, one brother, Jack and sister-in-law, Doreen Beaver.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Oakes. His funeral will be Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, Oakes. Burial will be in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND, at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 24, 2014. An on-line guestbook may be signed at www.dahlstromfuneralhome.com
