CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Valley City Hi-Liner volleyball team opens up postseason play tonight when they host Grand Forks Central in a Eastern Dakota Conference play-in-game.
The two teams have met twice this year with the Hi-Liners winning both matches by a scores of 3-0. In the Hi-Liners last win over the Knights on October28th, Claire Olson blasted 16 kills and Reagan Ingstad dished out a game high 20 assists.
Valley City enters tonight’s game after completing the regular season with a 21-14 overall record. They finished 8-12 in the EDC after a three game winning streak to end the regular season. Grand Forks Central enters tonight’s game after picking up just three wins in 31 games this year. The Knights were 1-19 in the EDC, that lone win coming against Wahpeton back on September 23rd.
The Knights and Hi-Liners face off tonight at 6:00pm at the Hi-Liner Activity Center. If you can not make the game, you can hear the live broadcast on 1490 KOVC. The winner of tonight’s match will travel to Grand Forks Red on Monday for the opening round of the EDC tournament.
