N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A Jamestown contractor now faces 14 complaints that it violated North Dakota’s “Call Before You Dig” law.

Most of the complaints against Northern Excavating came from work it was doing in and around Ross, North Dakota.

This week, 7 complaints were filed against the company and the Public Service Commission staff proposed fines totaling $42,500 in those cases.

Commission chairman Brian Kalk says a formal hearing will be held in December on the other complaints. He says Northern Excavating has 20 days to respond to the new round of complaints.
