CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Mike Metcalf received 412 votes to defeat incumbent Phil Leitner who had 341 votes in the District 2 Barnes County Commission race on Tuesday night.

Bill Carlblom got 415 votes to defeat Ryan Mathias who received 292 votes in the District 3 Barnes County Commission race on Tuesday.

Barnes County District 2 commissioner elect Mike Metcalf.

Barnes County District 3 commission elect Bill Carlbloom. — Barnes County District 3 commission elect Bill Carlblom.

Meanwhile two Barnes County measures were defeated with 60 percent of the voters casting a NO vote on Tuesday. One would have increased the 9-1-1 phone payment from $1 to $1.50 to cover the operational costs of the dispatch center.
