(NewsDakota.com) A Texas man who had escaped from custody in Texas was arrested in Oakes Wednesday night.

Oakes police say they took 63 year old Reymundo Leyva of Crystal City, Texas into custody shorty after 5 p.m. Wednesday evening.

Leyva is facing Texas charges of armed robbery, a weapons charge, and a parole violation. He was considered to be armed and dangerous, but was arrested without incident.

Leyva is currently in the Barnes County Jail awaiting extradition to Texas.
