N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Bird hunters heading east on Interstate 94 were diverted at the Oriska rest area Monday and Tuesday so North Dakota Game and Fish could visit with them and check for violations.

Game Warden Supervisor Mark Pollert says 29 citations were issued. The biggest violation was for failure to leave I.D. on game.

Pollert suggests hunters brush up on the rules and regulations before heading out.
