(NewsDakota.com) The Titans took on the Miners in a game with playoff implications on Friday night, but the Titans couldn’t stop the ground game of Beulah and fell short 48-0. Central Dakota is now 1-3 and 2-4 overall, Beulah is 3-1 and 4-2 overall.
The Miners scored four touchdowns in the first quarter and three in the second quartet to take a commanding lead going into halftime, 48-0. Junior running back Cory Alt had seven carries for 227 yards and four touchdowns, three rushing and one 57-yard touchdown reception from junior quarterback Casey Walcker. The Miners had a total of 574 yards of offense, 506 in the first half alone. Wingbacks Tanner Erickson and Matt Krizan also combined for three touchdowns in the first half.
Senior Cole Diede started at runningback again for the Titans and he rushed 12 times for 53 yards. Junior quarterback Jayden Grover completed three of four passing for 33 yards. The Titans were held to just 90 yards of offense the first half, 164 the entire game. Central Dakota also coughed up the football three times.
