N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Department of Emergency Services has selected Geo-Comm, Inc. to create address points for the Statewide Seamless Base Map Project which is currently in development.

From now through October 8th, GeoComm fieldwork crews will be in Stutsman and Barnes Counties visiting residences and businesses to verify addresses. Stutsman County Emergency Manager Jerry Bergquist stated that the project has been in development for quite some time and helped explain what the project is.

If GeoComm Technicians are unable to make contact with a resident, a paper survey with contact information will be left behind. Information provided to GeoComm will be considered confidential and its distribution will be restricted to only those that are involved in the Statewide Seamless Base Map Project.

If residents or businesses have any concerns or questions, they can contact Stutsman County 9-1-1 Coordinator Jerry Bergquist at 701-252-9093 or Barnes County 9-1-1 Coordinator Kim Franklin at 701-845-8510 or the North Dakota Department of Emergency Services Public Information Officer Cecily Fong in Bismarck at 701-328-8154.
