N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A wet August hit North Dakota for the 2014 weather season.
According to the Bismarck National Weather Service, cities in Western and Central North Dakota experienced cooler temperatures and a lot more rain than normal. Jamestown saw an average temperature of 67.5 degrees, roughly .7 degrees lower than average. Precipitation totals were around 3.06 for the month. That’s more than .96 inches more than average.
Dickinson saw their wettest month on record, receiving 6.79 inches of rain for the month. That blows away their average by 5.25 inches. Williston went against the trend, seeing 69.2 degrees on average for the month, up .3 degrees from normal.
