ROCKFORD (NewsDakota.com)  The Kindred Vikings have won three in a row and were off on Monday, as three other teams battled to meet them in the Championship on Tuesday.  Here are the results:

Thompson 9  Carrington 5

After losing to Thompson on the opening day of the State Babe Ruth Tourney, Carrington had to fight their way back through the losers bracket.  They beat Beulah and Valley City and that would get them a rematch with Thompson on Monday, as the Tommies fell to Kindred in the quarterfinals.  Thompson would score two runs in the sixth inning and three in the seventh inning to secure the victory over the Cardinals.  Calen Schwabe would be the winning pitcher, as he worked the sixth inning in relief of Brett Sutter-Hegg.  Cayden Schwabe came in and worked the seventh inning.  Calen Schwabe was also named player of the game going 3-for-4 at the plate, with triple and two RBI.  Braxton Hewitt was the losing pitcher and was 1-for-2, with two walks (one intentional) and hit by a pitch.  Carrington ends their season at 23-4.

Thompson 10  Park River 0, 5 innings

In the second game of the day for the Tommies, Calen Schwabe pitched a 5-inning shutout, was 2-for-3 at the plate and won player of the game honors again as Thompson beat the Pirates and will advance to the State Championship.  Seven out of nine batters for the Tommies had at least one RBI.  Adam Swanson and Tom Magnusson were the only two batters to get hits for Park River.  Steven Thompson was the losing pitcher.  Park River ends their season at 25-7.
