(NewsDakota.com) After droping three in a row at the Woodbat Tourney over the weekend in Enderlin, Post 25 has won three in a row. They swept Harwood on Tuesday, July 15th and last night they beat Sheyenne/New Rockford 9-2 to improve to 11-4 in the central region. SNR Blacksox Post 30 drops to 10-4. Carrington is now tied for second place in the central region with Nelson County, SNR drops to fourth place.
Brady Smith was the winning pitcher, going six innings allowing one run on five hits, two strikeouts and one walk. Smith did not get a hit at the plate, but the night before against Harwood, Smith was 3-for-4 with a two-run homerun. Kaleb Haley was the losing pitcher for the Blacksox, going four and a third inning allowing five runs on five hits and six walks. Austin Hewitt had two hits for Carrington and a run batted in.
Next up for Carrington will be today in Tolna against Nelson County, pregame will start around 5:45pm on AM 1600 KDAK and newsdakota.com, first pitch at 6pm. This will be the last regular season game of the year for Post 25, the central region tourney will start on Wednesday, July 23rd in Carrington.
