CITY, N.D (NewsDakota.com) The Valley City Hi-Liners will have two representatives this Sunday when the East and West squads take the field in the Fargodome for the 41st Annual Shrine Bowl.
Lacing up their cleats and snapping their helmets for the 11-Man East Team will be Valley City’s own, Jesse Hass and Dustin Lindgren when area high school All-Stars take the field for Sunday’s big game.
Hass was named to the All-State First Team for his play on the offensive line. He was also named to the All-Region Team and was awarded the Hi-Liners Most Valuable Offensive Lineman award.
Lindgren, got the job done in the back field this season for the Hi-Liners carrying the ball138 times for 926 yards. He finished the season with 9 touchdowns. Like Hass, Lindgren was also named First Team All-Region, and earned the honor of Second Team All-State. Lindgren will continue his football career next season at Valley City State University.
This year’s Shrine Bowl will be played on Sunday (July 13) afternoon. The 11-Man Game will begin at 4pm that will be followed by the 9-Man Game at 7pm. Fans can watch the game live on WDAY t.v.
