N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Museum in Jamestown holds many items with a detailed history and even some items that can’t be explained.

Museum Board Treasurer Alden Kollman stated that he’s searched for a lot of the things that the museum holds, but hasn’t had any success finding similar items.

Some of the items highlighted by Kollman included a solid glass cane, aluminum soled shoes and 9×12 Japanese flag that was donated to General Douglas MacArthur during the surrender of the Japanese.

The museum itself is a historical item. Built in 1907 by George Lutz, the wooden mansion houses these unique items from history. The Stutsman County Museum is open to the public for free with free will donations accepted. The museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Sundays from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
