CITY, N.D (NewsDakota.com) The Vikings men’s basketball team has announced that Bismarck Century’s Adam Quist has signed his letter of intent to play for VCSU next season.
The 5-foot-11 point guard helped lead the Patriots to a Western Dakota Association regular season and tournament Championship, and a third place finish at the North Dakota State Tournament.
With Quist starting at the point, the Patriots worked their way to a 23-2 record. During his senior year, he averaged 7.3 points, 2.3 assists and turned the ball over lest than one time a game. One of Quist’s strongest attributes is the ability to shoot the three. Last season he had 27 three-pointers, and shot 37 percent from behind the arch.
Quist joins a strong Vikings 2014 recruiting class that also features All-State guard Briton Bussman, from Milnor High School, and fellow WDA stand out Jayden Ferguson, of Williston.
Valley City State finished in third place in the North Star Athletic Association last season with a 14-14 record.
