(NewsDakota.com)- Even heading south to Omaha, the Jimmie and Viking golf teams couldn’t escape the weather which once again robbed them. This time however, it canceled the final day of the Midland/North Star conference golf meet.
The Jimmie men finished in third place and were hoping to make a push to gain some ground on the final day. A 36-hole total of 611 put Jamestown behind Bellevue and Oklahoma Wesleyan. Bellevue was the favorite and they won the tournament going away with a 572.
The Valley City State was 8th of nine teams with a 654.
The Jimmie women grabbed a second place finish almost 50 strokes behind Bellevue who carded a 313. Jamestown finished with a 360.
