Gleesing, 96, passed away on February 10, 2014 at Emeritus Senior Living Center in Denver, Colorado.

Mary Gleesing, daughter of Samuel Glidden and Elizabeth Leona (Noonan) Feltis, was born on September 8, 1917 in Greenville Township, Verona, North Dakota. She graduated from Verona High School in 1935 and then attended Wahpeton State School of Science for two years. She married Harold Gleesing in 1943 in Walla Walla, Washington and then moved to LaMoure, ND in 1946. Mary had several jobs before starting work for Joe R. Laney, LaMoure County Auditor. She held the position of Deputy County Auditor for 25 years before retiring in 1982. She and Harold moved to Oakes in 1999. After Harold died in 2006, she moved to the Emeritus Center in 2012.

She is survived by one daughter, Nikke Stinson, Aurora, Co., two granddaughters, Cathie Lovato and Michelle Munoz, two great-grandchildren, Dan Lovato and Brittney Harvey, one great-great granddaughter, Alexis Lester, one sister, Grace Stoltz and many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold, five brothers and three sisters.

Her memorial service will be on Monday, May 12, 2014 starting at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, LaMoure, ND. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery. An online guestbook may be signed at www.dahlstromfuneralhome.com
