N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Parks and Recreation Department have announced that the Hershey Track meet has been cancelled in Jamestown. The event will be moved to Valley City on May 28th starting at 4 P.M.

Boys and Girls ages 9 through 14 compete in a variety of track events during the local event. The first two placers in each event will then be sent to Fargo on June 21st to compete in the state meet. But according to Doug Hogan, a member of the Jamestown Parks and Recreation Department, this will be the last year for the National Hershey Track Meet.

Registration for the event will be at 4:00 PM the day of the event. For more information, you can contact the Jamestown Parks and Recreation office at 252-3982.
