N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their run report for the week April 11th through the 24th.

According to Fire Chief Jim Ruether, the department has responded to a total of 99 calls so far for 2014. Below is a full list of calls that crews have responded to in Jamestown.

April 11th, 5:23PM, fire department responded to 711 5th St NE, Vehicle, to report of a vehicle on fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and investigated. Cause-undetermined. No injuries reported. Time out 30 minutes.

April 13th, 9:28AM, fire department was requested mutual aid by Jamestown Rural Fire Department to be on stand-by for a possible hazardous materials incident. Cause-unknown. Time out 15 minutes.

April 14th, 8:11AM, ready squad responded to 1219 2nd Ave NW, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate carbon monoxide detector activation. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 0 ppm was detected. Cause-detector malfunction. Time out 40 minutes.

April 14th, 6:15PM, fire department responded to the area of 1501 Hwy 281 North, to a report of a grass fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and investigated. Cause-fireworks. No injuries reported. Time out 15 minutes.

April 15th, 11:05AM, ready squad responded to 1509 10th St NE, Jamestown High School, to investigate gas smell. Firefighters checked the structure for a gas smell. Cause-drain cleaner. Time out 35 minutes.

April 15th, 12:49PM, ready squad responded to 419 5th St NE, Legacy Center, to investigate strange odor of burnt plastic. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-unknown. Time out 20 minutes.

April 16th, 10:50AM, ready squad responded to 904 5th Ave NE, Sanford Health, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-systems malfunction. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 15 minutes.

April 20th, 7:45PM, ready squad responded to 1700 11th Ave NE, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate odor of burnt plastic. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-unknown. Time out 40 minutes.

April 21st, 7:04PM, ready squad responded to Seibold Hall, University of Jamestown, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-intentional alarm activation. Fire alarm was rest. Time out 30 minutes.
