(NewsDakota.com) City officials in Oakes have released the names that residents will see on their ballots in June to fill various city government seats.

Five names will be on the ballot to fill three City Council seats. Art Conklin, Nathan O’Brien, Regina Frigen, Nicholas Harris and Andrew Kuipers are running for the open Council seats. Harris is the lone Councilman seeking re-election, while current members Doug Sitzler and Dennis Brandriet are not on the ballot.

Oakes Mayor Monty Zimmer is running unopposed and seeking his second four-year term.

Jason Paradis is the only name who will appear on the ballot for a park board position. There are three four-year term seats open, as well as one two-year term seat.
