CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Motorists found themselves coming across a sticky substance near Valley City just before 8 o’clock Sunday night.
A tanker truck hauling corn syrup was driving on I-94 when it sprung a leak and began spilling along the roadway. The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the trailer had a structural failure causing a crack in the the stainless steel tank. Fire crews spent several hours hosing down the area to remove the corn syrup.
