(NewsDakota.com)- As the region continues to dig out from the early spring snowstorm, the spring sports season once again is put on hold. Last year, the Jimmie baseball team didn’t have a home game until the conference tournament in May. This year, the home opener scheduled for Saturday is very likely going to need to be rescheduled.
The University of Jamestown baseball and softball teams were suppose to head to Dickinson today, but those games have been postponed with a make-up day pending.
The baseball team, despite a loss to Presentation College, still received votes in the top-25 this week when the poll was released last night. They did drop a couple votes this week after the 3-1 weekend trip against a very much improved Saints squad.
No news yet on the home opener, but with the amount of snow that still sits on the ground and possibly more coming, the game will probably be rescheduled or moved south.
