Dorothy Werran, age 79, of Valley City, ND, died Tuesday, March 31st at the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Friday, April 4th at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Valley City.  Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Lerud Schuldt Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the church on Friday morning.  Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery near Valley City in the spring.

   Dorothy Ann Behm, the daughter of Joe and Agnes, was born May 9, 1935 in Fingal, ND.  Dorothy grew up and attended school in the Fingal, ND area.  After receiving her education she moved to the Clifford, ND where she worked.  On August 2, 1969 she married Robert Werran.  Dorothy worked at the Mayville Lutheran Memorial Home in Mayville, ND for over 25 years.  She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her flowers.

    Dorothy is survived by her husband Robert, Clifford, ND; one brother, Joe Behm, Walnut Grove, MN; one sister Joan Jewett, Valley City, ND; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tom (Mary) Werran, Fredrickson, WI, Ron (Karen) Werran, Sonnet, NC, Pat Werran, Hope, ND, Pam (Marlow) Rud, Mesa, AZ, and Mary (Joe) McCullough, Hope, ND; five nieces, Charleen Lam, Pam (Dwyle) Kamstra, Jacki (Gene) Colville, Mary (Pat) St. Denis, all Valley City, ND and Cathy (Clarence) Overby, Watertown, SD; and many great nieces and nephews.

    Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents.
