N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – With a blizzard warning in effect, it’s safe to say that this March came in like a lamb and went out like a lion.

The National Weather Service in Bismarck has announced that a blizzard warning is in effect for much of North Dakota. Heavy snow is expected with a total accumulation of 6 to 12 inches possible with higher amounts of 12 to 16 possible in certain areas. Winds will be Northerly up to 50 miles per hour, so whiteout conditions are possible. A blizzard warning means severe winter weather is expected or occurring.

Some cities in the warning include Jamestown, Carrington, Hazen, Oakes, Valley City, and Harvey.
