N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A man traveling from his home in Devils Lake to Minneapolis was killed after he struck the center of a concrete pillar on Interstate 29 near Buxton, North Dakota.
53 year-old Monte Allen Armentrout of Devils Lake was driving his 1998 Ford Minivan and passed a vehicle on the Interstate and merged into the left lane. The vehicle began weaving back and forth and the man tried to regain control without braking. The vehicle began to fish tail and he turned right, striking the center concrete pillar of an overhead with the front driver’s door and quarter panel. He suffered fatal injuries from the crash.
Armentrout was wearing his seat belt.
