N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Public Schools Music Boosters, a club that supports the music program in the public schools, has announced that the group is in danger of ceasing to exist.

The Music Boosters is a non-profit organization that has raised over $30,000 for the public schools to purchase a variety of items including a Grand Piano, Bass Clarinet, International Music Camp Scholarships, Piano Tuning and advertising for beginning band. The club is in need of members as three officers will be stepping down at the end of the year.

According to Cheryl McIntyre, “With the current budget cuts, we anticipate the Music Boosters funding will be of increased importance in providing opportunities for our students.”

The Music Boosters will be holding a meeting on April 15th at 5:30 PM to discuss the future of the organization. If residents are interested in serving on the board, they can attend this session or contact Cheyrl McIntyre.
