N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Northern Lights Council, Boy Scouts of America, and North Dakota First Lady Betsy Dalrymple, the 2014 Scouting for Food Chair, says area Boy Scouts will be going door-to-door conducting a ‘good turn’ for the community now through March 22. She says the scouts will be distributing Scouting for Food door hangers and will return to collect the donated food on Saturday, March 22.
The 26th Annual Scouting for Food Drive is Scouting’s community stewardship project aimed at addressing the problem of hunger in the community. The Boy Scouts and their community partner, Gate City Bank, are working together on this project to help those in need in our community.
If you did not get a door hanger at your home and you would like to participate and donate to the Scouting for Food drive, you can drop your food items off at any Gate City Bank location now through March 31.
For more information on the Scouting for Food drive please contact your local Boy Scout office at 701-293-5011.
