Emanuel Deyle, 83, Wishek, ND died Wednesday morning March 12, 2014 at St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck, ND.
Emanuel was born March, 21, 1930 at Wishek, ND the son of Henry H. Deyle and Olga (Ketterling) Deyle. He was raised on the family farm west of Wishek and received his elementary education in Salem School #2. Janaury 16, 1951 he joined the army with the Wishek National Guard until May 21, 1952 when he was discharged at Camp Rucker, AL with the rank of CPL. He returned to Wishek and worked at Wishek Concrete.
He and Eileen Wanner were married June 28, 1953 at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Wishek, ND. They made their home in Wishek where he continued to work for Wishek Concrete. In 1959 Emanuel began working as a substitute mail carrier along with working for Farmers Union and Wishek Cheese Co. In 1984 he began as a full time rural mail carrier. Following his retirement he drove truck for Cenex.
He was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, American Legion Post #87, the Logan & McIntosh County Rural Letter Carriers Association, the Forty Eight, and the Bowling Association.
He is survivied by his wife Eileen Deyle, Wishek, ND, his children, Debra (Donavin) Grenz, Linton, ND, Mark (Marlene)Deyle, Bismarck, ND; Joel A. (Edina) Woburn, MA; 8 grandchildren, Bridgette, Nathan, Kary, Timothy, Michael, Matthew, Hidekazu and Zequias, 8 great grandchildren, 3 brothers and 2 sisters, Edwin Deyle, Wishek, ND, Henry (Shirley) Deyle, Fargo, ND; Roger Deyle Alden, MN, Olivia (Gary) Lake, Antioch, CA; Gladys Flink, Osnabrock, ND;
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Wilma, in 2008.
Funeral Service – 10:30 AM Saturday in St. Luke Lutheran Church in Wishek, ND, with Pastor Adam Roberts, officiating
Interment – St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery at Wishek, ND
Prayer service – 7:00 PM Friday at the Haut Funeral Home
Visitation – 10-8 Friday @ the funeral home & 1 hour before the service @ church
