CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Now that Bald Hill Dam is releasing more water and temperatures climbed into the 50’s Thursday the ice on the Sheyenne River in Valley City is unstable.

Fire Chief Gary Retterath says with water running over the ice on the river it creates a dangerous situation. His advice is to stay off the river in Valley City.
