LAKE (NewsDakota.com)  Two District 7 teams met in the semifinal round of the Region 4 Girls Basketball Tourney and two District 8 teams met in the other semifinal last night at the Devils Lake Sports Center.  There will be a new champion as Benson County did not make the Region Tourney this year.  Here are the results:

Lakota/Edmore 33  Carrington 24

In a District 7 semifinal, Carrington’s Kayla Hochhalter and Lynzee Hagemeister had nine points each as the Cardinals drop to the Raiders in a low scoring affair last night.  Neither team shot over 25% from the field, LE was 9/45 for 24%, Carrington shot 20%.    

North Star 64  Rolette/Wolford 61

THURSDAY’S SCHEDULE:

6pm – Carrington  VS  Rolette/Wolford (3rd place)

20 min after – North Star  VS  Lakota/Edmore (Championship)

The winner of the Championship game will advance to the State Class B Girls Basketball Tourney in Fargo, starting Thursday, March 20th.
