(NewsDakota.com)- McKayla Orr came through huge once again. The Jamestown senior scored 36 points, tying the record for most points in WDA tournament game, to help her team get back to the state tournament. The Jays demolished Belcourt 87-58 to move onto the state tournament for the third time in four years.
In the first half, Orr was able to get to the basket at will. Her 15 points paced Jamestown to a 37-30 halftime lead. The Jays would score 50 in the second half, including Orr’s 21. Paige Peterson added 17 points and 10 rebounds for another double-double.
Jamestown will play Thursday against the winner of the EDC title game between West Fargo and Shanley which will be played later today. The game will be at 5pm in the Minot Civic Auditorium.
