(NewsDakota.com) The Jamestown High School boys basketball team played the Dickinson High School Midgets close during their two regular season games; winning one game by a point, and losing the other by 10. However, in their only matchup of the 2014 postseason, it was a strong one-sided affair and it sent the Jays home for the season.
The Midgets, who shot almost 60 percent from the field, and 52 percent from three-point land, rolled over the Jays 80-58 in a loser-out contest at the WDA Boys Basketball Tournament in Bismarck on Friday afternoon.
Jamestown managed just 35 percent from the floor, and shooting really was the one glaring, lopsided statistic in the contest. The Jays out rebounded the Midgets 36-31 and Dickinson had a few more turnovers (19-17). Dickinson had five players score in double figures, lead by Parker Egli, who had a team high 20 points, and was three for four beyond the arc.
The Jays, who see their season end at 5-16, had 12 points from Logan Anderson, and 11 from Nick Fuchs.
