CITY, N.D (NewsDakota.com) Buffalo High School Senior and Montrose, Minnesota native Nicole Duske has signed her letter of intent to play with the Valley City State women’s basketball team next season.

If the name Duske rings a bell with Viking basketball fans, it should. Nicole is the younger sister of current Viking men’s stand out Aaron Duske. In her final season, Nicole is currently averaging 10 points and seven rebounds a game for the Bison. She has helped her team to a 14-10 overall record with a 7-5 mark in the conference. Captaining her team this year, she led Buffalo High School to the Alexandria Holiday Tournament Championship.

Vikings Coach Cathy Hanek said, “We’re very excited to have Nicole join our Program. She

has proven herself as a tough player on the court, and a good person off the court.”

The Vikings finished the regular season at 13-11. The Vikings carry a 3-5 conference record into the North Star Athletic Association Tournament on Sunday, when they will travel to the University of Jamestown for a 3pm tip off.
