CITY, N.D (NewsDakota.com) The Valley City Gymnastics team won the Eastern Dakota Conference team championship last weekend in Fargo with a team score of 142.900 points.

The Hi-Liners scores edged out Fargo Davies who finished in second with a 133.950. The Wahpeton Huskies finished in third and Grand Forks rounded out the top four.

Leading the way for Valley City at the tournament was Bethany Crump who set a new school record with in the All-Around with a 37.100. Not far behind her teammate was Taylor Johnson who took third a 35.475.

Crump, Johnson, and Rebkah Fisher were all named to the EDC All-Conference team.

The Hi-Liners will make their way to Bismarck Century on Friday, February 28th where they look to earn their first ever team state championship. Those who would like to cheer on the Hi-Liners as they head out of town can catch the bus as it departs for I-94 making its way down Central Avenue and turning west onto Main Street.
