CITY, N.D (NewsDakota.com) The District II Girls Basketball Tournament will get underway on Friday, February 28th at the Fargo Civic Auditorium.
The eight teams from the district will play a double elimination format with the top four seeds moving on to the Regional Tournament.
The opening day of play will feature the number one seed in the district and fourth ranked team in the state Maple Valley taking on the eight seed Richland Colts at 3pm. The second game pits #4 Fargo Oak Grove and #5 Kindred. The winners of those two games will meet in the semifinals on March 1st, with the losers meeting in the first elimination game earlier on Saturday.
The second half of the bracket will feature a match up with #2 Central Cass and #7 Finley-Sharon/Hope-Page on the first day of competition. The Enderlin Eagles who are ranked third in the district will close out opening day against sixth ranked Northern Cass. Again, the winner of those two games will met up in the last semifinal game on Saturday night with the losers meeting earlier in the day in the second elimination game.
Regional qualifiers and the championship game will be held on Monday, March 3rd at the Fargo Civic Auditorium.

G9: 4:30pm-Regional Qualifier – Loser Game 8 vs Winner Game 5
G10: Regional Qualifier – Loser Game 7 vs Winner Game 6
