D.C. (NewsDakota.com) U.S. Senator Heidi Heitkamp says seven students and recent graduates will be interning in her Bismarck, Dickinson, Fargo, Grand Forks, and Washington D.C. offices.

Heitkamp says, “These interns will play a critical role in helping my office represent North Dakota effectively, and accomplish the things I was sent here to do. It’s always a pleasure having talented young adults in my North Dakota and Washington, D.C. offices.”

Alexis Grabinger from Jamestown is currently a sophomore at Minnesota State University Moorhead where she is majoring in Women and Gender Studies, with a minor in Political Science. She is interning in Senator Heitkamp’s Washington, D.C. office.

Ben Goehring from Moorhead, Minnesota a recent graduate of Oak Grove Lutheran High School, is in the middle of his freshman year at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and is double majoring in sociology and political science. He is interning in Senator Heitkamp’s Washington, D.C. office.

Thea Donovan from Hazen – Thea grew up in Hazen and recently graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a degree in Geosciences, with an emphasis in Geology, and a minor in Political Science. She is interning in Senator Heitkamp’s Washington, D.C. office.

Danielle Finn from Bismarck, a member of Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, attended Minot State University where she received a degree in Criminal Justice, with a minor in International Business. She is interning in Senator Heitkamp’s Bismarck office.

Sarah Jennings from Dickinson, she is currently attending Dickinson State University where she majors in History and Political Science. She will continue interning in Senator Heitkamp’s Dickinson office.

Josh Weatherspoon from Minot recently graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a degree in Criminal Justice. He will continue interning for Senator Heitkamp’s Fargo office.

Robert Haider from Burlington graduated from the University of North Dakota in 2010 with a degree in Political Science and is currently a third-year student at the University of North Dakota School of Law. He is interning in Senator Heitkamp’s Grand Forks office.
