N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Authorities say 60-year-old Sherry Midstokke of Finley, North Dakota was formally charged with murder in the death of her husband 66-year-old Lyle Midstokke on February 5. He was found dead in the bedroom of their home Monday morning after she called 9-1-1.

According to the criminal complaint, Sherry Midstokke admitted to intentionally killing her husband by means of drugs and asphyxiation. Physical evidence at the crime scene substantiates her admission, including items used to asphyxiate her husband.

Midstokke remains in the Cass county jail on a cash bond of $500,000.
