CITY, N.D (VCSU ) Aaron Duske of Valley City State was selected for the fifth edition of the North Star Athletic Association Men’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week honor, announced Monday. It is Duske’s second player of the week award this season.

Duske averaged 20.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.5 blocks and 0.5 steals per game as Valley City State split a pair of NSAA conference games.  For the week, he was 14-for-29 from the field (48.3 percent), 4-for-8 from the 3-point line (50 percent) and made 8 free-throws in 12 attempts (66.7 percent).  Duske had 19 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks and 1 steal in a 71-69 nail-biter loss to rival Jamestown.  He recorded 21 points and 5 rebounds in 88-63 victory over Dakota State. Duske moved up to to No. 8 all-time in scoring at Valley City State with 1,278 career points.

Next up for Duske and the Vikings, a trip to Presentation College. The game will be a double header with the women tipping off first. You can hear both games on 1490 KOVC starting at 5:15pm.
