N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The 2014 Grants to Grow awards have been announced for FARRMS.
The Grants to Grow program offers microcredit and grants to farmers looking to add or enhance sustainable farm practices with an emphasis on local foods and diversified farming.
Receiving $1,000 grants for the 2014 funding period are:
• Neil Olson, My Uncle’s Farm in Palermo
• Jill Louters, North Dakota Meats in New Rockford
• Joshua Geinert, Hoop Dreams, Nortonville
Farms receiving 2014 microcredit loans with partial grants are:
• Karri Stroh, Tappen
• Jonathon Moser and Hannah Sargent, Forager Farms in Windsor
• Mirek and Julie Petrovic, Nature’s Way Gardens in Rugby
• Mike and Lindsay Ostlie, Carrington
