CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) First Graders from Jefferson Elementary completed their Christmas service project by ringing bells and raising money for the local Salvation Army chapter. 

The students, pictured below with their teacher Nancy Ost as she hands a check for $375.99 to Salvation Army representatives Joe Lunde, Dave Carlsrud and Lee Isensee recently in Valley City.

This years goal is to raise $40,000 to meet the local needs of the Salvation Army in Barnes County and Valley City.
