CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Deputies and reserve deputies of the Barnes County Sheriff Office are working to make the holiday season brighter for families or individuals that have had a major tragedy in the last year. 

Sheriff Randy McClaflin says we strive to help families that have lost their homes to a fire, had an unexpected death in the family and other family crisis.

McClaflin says families and individual that we help are done anonymously and kept confidential.

In order to help we are seeking donations from individuals, businesses and organizations in Barnes County to help the program.  Donations can be dropped off at the Sheriff Office, 575 10th St SW Suite 4, Valley City.
