CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Staples, Minnesota man was injured after a vehicle lost control and ran into his parked pickup.

A LaCrosse, Wisconsin man was Eastbound on I-94 when he lost control on a frost-covered bridge deck. According to Highway Patrol Sgt. Tom Herzig, the man failed to maintain control of his vehicle and slid into a pickup and trailer that was parked on the south shoulder.

At the time of the crash, the driver of the parked pickup was outside of his vehicle reconnecting a trailer. He was seriously injured as a result.

The crash remains under investigation. Valley City Police and Fire/Rescue Ambulance responded to the scene.
