LAKE (NewsDakota.com)  For the fourth year in a row, the Carrington Cardinals will play in the Championship match in Region 4 volleyball tomorrow night.  The Cards have fell the last three times, twice to Langdon and once to Midkota two years ago.  Their opponent this year will be District 7 Lakota/Edmore as they upset the No. 1 seed from District 8, North Star.  Here are yesterdays semi-final results:

Carrington beat Harvey/Wells County 3-1 (20-25, 25-14, 25-19, 25-14)

Madison Wendel had a match high 21 kills and helped the Cardinals beat the Hornets of Harvey/Wells County last night at the Devils Lake Sports Center.  Carrington served 92% and had 17 aces, Kayla Hochhalter had eight aces.  Wendel had four stuff blocks.  Carrington improves to 28-7 overall, HWC drops to 25-8 overall. 

Lakota/Edmore beat North Star 3-2 (17-25, 17-25, 25-23, 25-22, 15-12)

3rd Place:  D7 No. 1 Harvey/Wells County (25-8)  VS  D8 No. 1 North Star (32-3) 6pm

Championship:  D7 No. 2 Lakota/Edmore (24-8)  VS  D7 No. 3 Carrington (28-7)          25 minutes after the third place match, pregame can be heard approximately 7:15pm on AM 1600 KDAK and newsdakota.com, first serve approximately 7:30pm.
