N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Agricultural Products Utilization Commission will be holding their quarterly meeting in Jamestown at the Gladstone Inn and Suites on November 21st.
The mission statement for the APUC, according to their website, is to “create wealth and jobs through the development of new and expanded uses of North Dakota’s agricultural products through a grant program.” During their quarterly meeting, they will be discussing several grants requested from different programs around the state for research, marketing, agri-tourism and technical assistance.
A total of $581,950 in requests have been received for this quarter. Among them is Endless Harvest of Jamestown. They are requesting $150,000 to hire engineering services for a proof of concept project for a 2.7 acre greenhouse operation to grow leaf lettuce for North Dakota and Minnesota. The planned facility would include a greenhouse, an administrative area and classrooms for greenhouse operation education.
