(NewsDakota.com) The Oakes High School volleyball team saw their regular season come to a close with a three match losing streak after falling 3-1 to the Ellendale Cardinals in Oakes Monday night.
Oakes was victorious in the first game with a 25-16 score. Ellendale then won the next three games by scores of 25-16, 25-15 and 25-21.
Oakes (13-15-2 5-5 Class B District 1) is the #6 seed for the District 1 tournament which starts on Thursday. The Tornadoes will take on the #3 seeded Cadets of Sargent Central in Forman at 7 p.m.; Oakes lost to the Cadets in Forman in five games back on October 3.
