(NewsDakota.com)- In a move that surprised no one who watched the teams that will form the North Star Athletic Association basketball conference last year, Mark Hoge was named the NSAA Preseason Player of the Year.

Hoge was an All-American in 2012-13, leading the Jimmies with 18.5 points per game on route to a second straight appearance in the NAIA National Tournament. He was the only Jimmie to make the NSAA preseason all-conference list, as the University of Jamestown will see an infusion of new talent this season. 

Two Valley City State Viking guards Aaron Duske and A.J. McDonald were named to the team as well.
