(NewsDakota.com) The Oakes High School volleyball team earned their second win in District 1 play this season with a 3-1 victory against the Milnor Bison on Thursday night in Oakes.

The Tornadoes won the first game of the match 25-17 before the Bison came back to squeak out a 26-24 win in game two. Afterwards, it was all Oakes as the home team won the last two games easily by scores of 25-19 and 25-11.

Oakes has three matches to be played in the regular season before the District 1 playoffs which start on October 31. The Tornadoes hit the road on Tuesday October 15 to face the Kindred Vikings.
